Our Head Gardener, Robert Owen has been the Head Gardener at Bodysgallen for 29 years. During this time both he and his team have overseen the restoration of our gardens from those of a derelict and overgrown wilderness, to the award winning gardens that they are today. We are pleased to announce the dates of three separate Garden Tours/Lectures hosted by Robert Owen, which will give you an insight into the restoration and on-going work that takes place in the gardens of Bodysgallen Hall.
Saturday 11th September - The prequel to autumn!
Saturday 16th October - Autumn colour or an Indian summer?
Our garden tours will commence with coffee on arrival at 11-00am prompt in the Drawing Room. Following the tour, a two-course luncheon including coffee, will be served in the South Dining Room, together with a glass of wine per person. The price per person to include the above is £30.00.
Head Chef at Bodysgallen Hall and recently awarded the Pride of Britain Hotels, Chef of the Year, Gareth Jones will be continuing with his popular cookery master classes, and we are pleased to confirm the following dates:
Saturday 13th November - ‘Modern British cooking’

The price per per person per demonstration is £40, and includes morning coffee served on arrival at 11.00am prompt, followed by the demonstration. Afterwards, enjoy a glass of champagne and a two-course luncheon in the South Dining Room in the main hotel.
Each month we will be holding a series of Cultural Lunches on the following dates:
Saturday 18th September - click here
Saturday 23rd October - Cultural Luncheon with speaker, Elizabeth Green, Curator of Properties for the National Trust Wales.
Saturday 6th November - Cultural Luncheon with speaker, Peter Simpson, specialist on Rex Whistler and his mural at Plas Newydd.
Saturday 4th December - Cultural Luncheon with speaker, Anne Forrest, a ‘common-folk’ biography of life in Penmaenmawr.
On each occasion we will be inviting speakers from a wide and varied background with a common passion for their subject and a wish to share this with our guests. In former series, this has included artists, musicians, authors of crime novels and travel, and local historians.
Quite informal, the event is held in the intimate setting of our Drawing Room, and starts with coffee at 11am prompt. Following the talk, enjoy a delicious two course lunch in the South Dining Room accompanied by a glass of wine, tea and coffee. The cost is £32.50. Please ask at Reception for more details, or telephone (01492) 584466 to make your reservation.
Our special rate for an overnight stay following our Luncheon Demonstrations/lectures is £75 per person, including cooked breakfast and full use of the Bodysgallen Spa.
